WELCOME!

Welcome to St Michael’s.  We love Paulsgrove and we’re proud to be Grovers and to serve God and the Grove.

We hope you find something to whet your appetite for our life together.  We’re all pilgrims and explorers on a journey together.  Why not join us, whether that’s at one of our services or at one of our activities together? Everyone is very welcome at St Michael’s!  Get in touch if you’d like to know more or if you have any questions.  Fr Hugo, your parish priest, would love to hear from you!  He’s on 02392 387339  or fatherhugodeadman5@gmail.com.

As well as offering a warm, loving, safe and supportive church family, we’re doing more and more to serve our community and be at its heart.  We’re home to the Paulsgrove Bathroom Bank, which provides bathroom essentials to anyone who needs them, absolutely free of charge and with no need for a referral or voucher.  The Bathroom Bank is open at St Michael’s every Thursday afternoon and Friday and Saturday morning.  Would you like to volunteer or donate to it?  Then get in touch with Fr Hugo or Michelle on 07592 122020.

Or why not help to get our garden grow?  We’re home to the Paulsgrove Community Garden, offering free and fresh veg to anyone who likes some.  We’re always on the lookout for green fingered volunteers!

You would of course be welcome at any of our services – or to join us online on Sunday evenings at 8pm for Compline, streamed from our Facebook page.  Or if you’d like to sit in the peace and stillness of St Michael’s you are more than welcome to do so,  Fr Hugo is always available if you’d like to have a chat about anything that’s on your mind.

We really look forward to meeting you!

 Our Story

Paulsgrove is a thriving and unique community, and as a symbol of the value to our community we launched the Proud to be Paulsgrove project in 2014 and following a successful lottery bid and significant upgrade to our building we welcomed the St M’s Community Benefit Co-op to the church in 2019.

It’s not been all plain sailing, not least thanks to Covid. But we opened our doors again in 2021 and so far have celebrated a Jubilee event for the late Queen, developed a fabulous community garden, run lots of Kids fun days, enjoyed the return of the Paulsgrove carnival, the church Christmas fair and had a cracking Coronation Cream Tea for everyone and anyone who fancied it.  No wonder your new parish priest, Fr Hugo, was so keen to come to Paulsgrove!  He loves life in the Grove.
